How many years of college are required for business and accounting?
Id like to go into college for business and account because someday I hope to own my own photography studio. The max amount of years college I would like to go for is 2 years. I live in MN, what are the minimum amount of years I would need for business and accounting in order to have my own photography business? Im not looking to go into college for photography, I dont think I need that.

- if you only plan to go to school for two years than head to a junior college and get an AA degree in Accounting you dont need both you take most of the basic business class in accountaing anyways. i would consider going for the four though just in case your plans change or dont work out.
- It's not the years, it's the milage. There are lot's of accelerated college programs out there, both at schools and online. However, limiting yourself to 2 years will make it virtually impossible to obtain a BA or BS. You could certainly get an AA or AS, but that will not be of great help getting into a big company. You may want to get your AA or AS, and then see how things are going. You can always go for your BA or BS from there. Just to let you know, to be an actual "accountant", you do need a BS in Accounting from an accredited school, and a total of 135 credits to qualify for the CPA exam.
