What is the income potential with a career in accounting?

I am in sales now and need to get out of this field. I already have a bachelors in Business Finance and I am considering going back and getting a Masters in Accounting. Once I get into this field, how much can I expect to make 5 to 10 years down the road? How much will getting my CPA improve my salary potential? Any help you can give would be great!
