1. Not sure exactly what you're looking for, but accounting is relevant to any business. If accounting is not done properly, business decisions can't be made based on the correct information. If a company can turn a waste product into something else and sell it, an accountant can tell them if the profit in the sale outweighs the additional costs of processing the waste into the new product. The company may ordinarily dump the waste, thereby polluting and the accountant's information may show them that they can make a profit and thereby 'recycle' their waste into profit and hopefully decrease pollution and waste.
