Which career in Accounting is 40 hrs work week?

I have heard that Accountants work long hours and do not have a lot of time to spend with their families, friends and to pursue activities outside of work. So I want to know which career in the Accounting field would be a perfect match for me that will allow me to have time with my families? I am talking about a career in the Accounting field which require 40 hours work week and that will not require me to bring paperwork at home if I have not completed them.

2. As long as there is a shortage of accounting staff, there will be pressure to work long hours. Choose whatever kind of work you really enjoy, and look for a firm which supports work/life balance. They are out there!
3. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but pretty much any professional/middle management job today will always require more than 40 hours a week.
4. Hi again! I have a degree in Accounting, but I don't want to be a CPA. Being a staff accountant for a small company allows me to use my accounting skills but still maintain a 40 hour work week. As an added perk, I also get to do HR for the company.
