what kind of job can I get after getting AAS in business accounting?

I already have BA in English from overseas (I live in the US now). I could go for Masters degree, but I am raising children and need something quicker and less time consuming for now.

1. working in AP/AR or if I were you .....try getting into a small public accounting firm (one that doesn't care that you don't have a BS in accounting but that will help pay your way to get a CPA liscense)...you make more money...and on top of that there is room for big growth and money...Once you do AP/AR your kind of limited on income and growth it's even more boring than a CPA (before you become a senior accountant). If you have kids you want a more stable job that earns good money..and it's only the 2 tax seasons that have you working overtime....I have many coworkers that have kids and some of their kids are born in the midst of tax season. The firm where I work (one of the top 12 accounting firms in the nation) usually every 2 years you will be promoted...and I know how much a senior manager makes...he makes roughly $15,000/month plus benefits such as expense accounts.
2. You could try working from home. Many companies like Manuscript Services,Associated Content,Constant content pay for writing articles,poems,proofreading and copywriting. A good writer can earn more than US$30 per hour.More info at http://tinyurl.com/qrnfe
