Should I stick with accounting or go into a bachelors degree for business administration?
I just finished my associates degree in accounting at a community college. I know I want to go on and get my bachelors and then my masters as well. However, I am thinking that I would rather do a bachelors program for business administration instead of staying with accounting. Would the business degree combined with the associates in accounting make me more marketable rather than if I stuck with accounting?

- Stick with accounting and get your CPA. Any bozo can get a business degree, but CPA's are in a class of their own
- I vote for the business administration degree. Plenty of people don't even work at a job where their particular degree is utilized. You will end up with a more diverse education and knowledge.
- Get your bachelors and masters in accounting. There are so many different jobs out there for degreed accountants - and they are in demand because not everyone can cut it in accounting. If you did well in your previous classes stick with it! You can go into industry, government, public accounting or start your own business. I'm a CPA and I can't tell you how many of my clients wished they knew more about accounting. It's the best business degree you can have. In my opinion, a general business degree on a resume gives off the impression that you couldn't make up your mind, or worse that you were not focused.
